Not so long ago, I read about the benefits of cold showers.
At first, I was skeptical for two reasons. I’ve never been a fan of cold water. I’ve always enjoyed warm water, be it in the shower, or the pool. Heck, I never even drank cold water.
Secondly, I thought warm water was the best thing in the world, for circulation, relaxation; and wouldn’t mess me up with a flu.
The sweet assassin, the sweet threat, the sweet poison. This is probably THE worst ingredient around us today, responsible for killing many.
Years ago, it was considered an absolute luxury, only available to the elite. Today, it is readily available and has become a necessity for most. This is a typical example of democratization: when luxury becomes accessible to all. However, this substance is a sweet tasting, debilitating poison. Consuming it is suicide.
I don’t know what your definition of health is, but being healthy isn’t solely about physical fitness. Being truly healthy includes emotional and mental fitness as well. All three factors make up what we call “health”, and it is impossible for you to call yourself “healthy” if you are lagging behind in any of these three aspects.
